Tour of the House

Downstairs

The lounge has a TV has the main UK channels including  BBC ITV Channel 4 Channel 5 etc and French Channels. It has a brand new wood burner. As well as fast acting electric heaters throughout the house.

This leads on to the kitchen/diner which is kitted with a wood burner and electric oven and gas hob. There is also a highchair.

Off this room is the downstairs bathroom with bathtub and shower.

The small rear garden has a patio and small portable BBQ. It is enclosed and pets are welcome. We do have a front garden as well, but this is a small oval plot about 20m from the front door; it’s a great place for French cricket or nerf wars which you can keep an eye on from the kitchen window. Turning left past it immediately takes you onto rural roads perfect for those that bring cycles or like to stroll.

Upstairs

The upstairs consists of 3 bedrooms. Two are very large and the third has a double bed plus a mezzanine floor in the eves with a sloping roof and two single beds. The sloping roof makes that upper space suitable for children.

Bedroom 1 is the master bedroom and we love the high ceilings and double windows. There is plenty of space for this to be used as a family bedroom if required.

Down the corridor and to the left is the upstairs bathroom with washbasin and shower.

Bedroom 2 is very large and has a double bed and an extra single bed. In theory the house actually sleeps 7 adults + 2 children but we advertise it as 6 + 2 because the dining table will only seat 8.

Bedroom 3 has a double bed and 2 singles in the eves section suitable for children. It also has some great views to the rear but please note that the views are over the neighbouring small-holding and are not of our garden!

The frontage of the house is not its strong point but you need to be able to recognise it when you arrive! Our wonderful French neighbours live to the left and the small holiday cottage to the right is owned by British family and friends. The neighbours are very much the reason we bought the house in the middle. You can park your car at the front of the property but please be careful not to block access to the neighbours’ parking space or the entrance to their huge barn/garage on the other side. Another thing to be aware of is the sceptic tank which shouldn’t be driven over or parked on and is immediately in front of the door to the house.
